The 2009 Western Open is scheduled for Courtney, on Vancouver Island hosted by Comox Valley Monarch Lions Club July 12-16.

The event, which is being held at the premier Crown Isle golf course & resort in Courtenay,  is scheduled for you to arrive on Sunday July 12th with a meet and greet that evening, a practice round on Monday and games on Tuesday and Wednesday. Your annual meeting is planned for Monday morning and for Monday and Tuesday evenings we have special events organized.  The wind up and awards banquet will be on Wednesday evening at Crown Isle.

For those of you planning to fly to the Comox Airport known as YQQ, check out their website at:  http://www.comoxairport.com/ ) there are frequent flights from the Vancouver Airport and for our golfers from East of the Rockies we have several flights each day from Calgary ( only 70 minutes ).  You will be met at the airport by the Crown Isle bus.  And if you are driving here from the mainland,  we suggest you make reservations on the BC Ferries ( their web site is: http://www.bcferries.com/ ).
