Driver taken to hospital after crash with bus and car in Croydon

A driver has been taken to hospital after a crash between a car and a bus in Croydon.

Police were called to the crash on Semley Road at 7.49am today (Monday).

Emergency services intervened on the scene and treated the drivers involved.

One driver was taken to hospital and his injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The bus is currently obstructing part of the road, resulting in a slower flow of southbound traffic.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “On Monday 13 May, police were called to Semley Road, Croydon at 6.49am to reports of a collision involving a car and a bus.

“The bus is partially blocking the road, causing traffic to move slower in the southbound direction.

“London Ambulance Service attended the scene and treated the drivers involved, taking one of them to hospital.

“The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.”
