Tyreece Campbell’s new Charlton contract details confirmed – with option to extend stay in Valley – South London News

Tyreece Campbell has signed a new contract with Charlton Athletic.

The 20-year-old winger was due to be a free agent at the end of June, although the Addicks would still receive compensation due to his age.

But Campbell has penned a two-year contract extension with a club option for a further 12 months.

The academy product, who was nine when he joined the League One club, made 40 appearances in all competitions last season.

“I enjoyed working under Nathan Jones,” Campbell told Charlton’s official website. “He demands a lot from us as players and he knows how to get the best out of us. I managed to learn a lot.

“I’m already looking forward to next season. The whole team is positive – we all have the same goal and hopefully we can achieve it.”

Boss Charlton Jones added: “I am delighted that Tyreece has signed a new contract with the club. He is a great young player with pace, skill and fantastic one-on-one ability.

“He’s been at the club for a couple of years, came through the academy and did well as one of our game changers towards the end of the season.

“I’m excited to be able to continue to work with him and watch and support his development as he has a lot of potential.”
