Man bailed again over death of Nottingham Panthers ice hockey player Adam Johnson

Officers investigating the death of Sheffield ice hockey player Adam Johnson have again granted bail to a man in connection with the inquiry.

Adam, 29, suffered a life-threatening injury during a match between Sheffield Steelers and Nottingham Panthers on October 28, 2023. Sadly, he was pronounced dead in hospital. An autopsy later concluded that she died of a neck injury.

On November 14, 2023, a man was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter. He was later released on bail. Today (Tuesday, May 14) he was bailed again until June 26, 2024.

South Yorkshire Police said:

“Adam’s loved ones remain at the forefront of our minds as this complex investigation continues. If there are any developments before the new bail expiry date they will be proactively issued by South Yorkshire Police.
