WW-P North, Nottingham advances to finals of Mercer County Invitational – Trentonian

EWING — The 16th-seeded West Windsor-Plainsboro High North baseball team gave 13th-seeded Ewing all it could handle Tuesday at Andy Greener Field in the semifinal round of the Mercer County Invitational .

With their 8-1 win, the Northern Knights will be able to play in the MCT Invitational Bracket final on Thursday at 4pm in 11th-ranked Nottingham.

HAMILTON – A nine-run fifth inning helped the Spartans get past the Tigers at Rich Giallella Field.

Christian Finacchio, Alex Wolak and Gennaro Salzano each had two hits and two runs in Steinert’s place.

Alex Winters doubled and drove in two for Princeton, while Travis Petrone had two hits, including a double.
