The biggest reasons for fines were for people parking on a restricted street, in a car park without a valid ticket, for longer than allowed or paid for, at a bus stop or station by taxi, and using resident parking areas or disabled parking spaces.

Wirral Council is currently developing its borough-wide parking management strategy. Councilors voted to take the policy forward in December 2023, which will look to generate revenue for the council and bring in a number of new changes. The local authority declined to comment when asked for an update on progress.
