A ‘Magnificent’ new work of art has been unveiled at the prominent Nuneaton building

A ‘Magnificent’ new work of art has been unveiled on a prominent building in Nuneaton. The front of the Nuneaton Heritage Center now sports an incredible welcome sign.

It was made of mosaics and greets our visitors as they enter the center courtyard. It was created by artist Ros Ingram.

John Burton, chairman of the Heritage Center on Avenue Road, said: “It truly is a work of art and we are absolutely delighted that Escape Arts has chosen us to be the recipient of their project.”

Nuneaton and Bedworth Mayor Councilor Martin Walsh unveiled the artwork, which was created by the artist in early 2024. It was created through Nuneaton Escape Arts.

“The installation is on display, pride of place, at the entrance to the Heritage Center and celebrates the people and heritage of Nuneaton,” said a spokesperson for Nuneaton Escape Arts.

Nuneaton Heritage Center is run by a gang of volunteers to preserve artefacts and documents relating to Nuneaton and its industrial past. It boasts a ‘Victorian School Room’ where visitors are taken back to Victorian school days.
