Coventry City’s ‘incredible’ season ticket figures delight Doug King

Coventry City have made an “incredible” start to the club’s quest to beat 19,500 season tickets at the CBS Arena after the first day of sales for the 2024/25 campaign.

One of the most encouraging statistics to emerge on their opening day, on sale between noon and midnight on Monday, was that 24% of those buying were not renewals, but fans who hadn’t bought one for the 2023 campaign /24. just left



Of those new Sky Blues season ticket holders, a total of 91 per cent have not bought one in the last nine seasons, according to club figures. And 41 per cent had never bought a season ticket or match ticket in the last nine seasons – evidence that new or lapsed supporters are being drawn back to the club.

A quarter of new season ticket holders are women – which is an increase of over 40% on the previous sales percentage, 47% did not buy a match ticket at all last season.

The club has taken the decision to freeze season ticket prices for the 2024/25 campaign, despite significant inflationary pressures, it says “to thank the fans for their magnificent support and to encourage as many members of the expanding Sky Blue army as possible to secure a place. for all 23 home games in the 2024/25 season.”

Coventry City owner and chief executive Doug King said: “We have been delighted with the incredible response from Sky Blues fans to our 24/25 season tickets and would like to thank everyone who has already purchased.

“It’s fantastic to see so many new season ticket holders and also the increase in the percentage of female supporters so far.


“We expect many more supporters to buy before the 23/24 day season ticket holder seat reservation deadline on June 3rd and then the Early Bird cut-off on June 19th.

“As our aspirational launch video says, we dream big and aim high. We want and need you on this journey with us and we look forward to seeing the Arena packed again next season.”
